About This Course
Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Laws is the five academic years’ program offered by the faculty of Law (FOL) of Tribhuvan University (T.U). The university is offering BALLB course since 2010 AD. The program covers sixty-two subjects and out of these sixty-one subjects are with credit and the remaining one is non-credit for international students. The teaching strategies encompases of lectures, discussion, seminar, tutorial, case study, workshop etc. Under this program, students need to study Political Science, Comparative and Nepalese Legal System, Legal Method, Legal Nepali, History, Procedural, Constitutional, Media Law among others. In order to be eligible to attend the final examinations, students must have 80% attendance.The law constituent provides professionals with legal skills including the ability to analyse legal material, understand fundamental legal principles, understand the relationship between law and society and gain general analytical skills for critical thinking and problem-solving.

Admission Criteria and Eligibility
Eligibility
The candidates interested in applying for BALLB course must
- have completed +2 or equivalent in any of the disciplines can apply for this five-year law program.
- passed in an entrance exam of a total 200 marks among which 100 marks is included from the entrance exam and the other 100 marks is from the percentage gained in the +2 or in other equivalent courses.
Entrance Exam
The applicants must appear in the entrance exam conducted by Faculty Of Law (FOL), TU, and pass the exam.
Admission
Every year 210 students are selected to pursue BALLB course in Nepal. Nepal Law Campus enrolls 105 students (35 in each group), Prithvi Narayan Campus enrolls 35 students and National Law College enrolls 70 students (35 per group). Students will be selected on the basis of merit list of Entrance examination (having full marks of 100).
Note: 35 students in each group comprises eleven seats in each section, like two for woman, two for Indigenous/Janjati group, two for Madheshi, one for Dalit, one for disable, one for backward area and two for foreigner are reserved only for admission purpose. Any type of economic privilege is not available among those students who are eligible for admission in such reserved seats.
