Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology (IoST), is conducting a Re-Entrance Examination for students who were unable to enroll in the four-year B.Sc. program due to various reasons. The examination will be conducted based on demand, and applications must be submitted online only.
1. Minimum Eligibility
A. Grade 12 / I.Sc.
- Must have passed Grade 12 (Science) or I.Sc., or an equivalent examination recognized by the Government of Nepal.
- Must have passed English with at least 100 marks.
Biological Group:
- Must have obtained at least Second Division / Final Grade C in Chemistry and Biology, with 200/200 marks.
- Must have passed the remaining subjects with at least GPA 1.6.
Physical Group:
- Must have obtained at least Second Division / Final Grade C in Physics and Mathematics, with 200/200 marks.
- Must have passed the remaining subjects with at least GPA 1.6.
B. A-Level
- Biological Group: Final Grade D in both Chemistry and Biology, with or without a small letter, and at least Grade E in other subjects.
- Physical Group: Final Grade D in both Physics and Mathematics, with or without a small letter, and at least Grade E in other subjects.
C. Other Qualifications
Students who have obtained educational qualifications from institutions or universities other than the Nepal Government National Examination Board must submit an equivalency certificate issued by the Curriculum Development Centre, Sanothimi.
2. Application Period
The online application form will be available through the Institute of Science and Technology website:
The application form can be submitted from 2083/07/20 to 2083/07/29. After the deadline, the online application system will automatically close.
3. Application Fee
The entrance examination fee is Rs. 2,200 (Two Thousand Two Hundred only).
The fee must be deposited into the designated Global IME Bank account through the prescribed voucher, or paid through the online payment option available on the admission portal.
Important: The examination fee is non-refundable. The voucher/transaction ID number/product ID must be entered while submitting the online form.

6. Admit Card
The admit card can be downloaded from the website from 2083/07/30.
7. Important Information
- Applicants must complete all required procedures mentioned in the application form and submit the necessary documents.
- Applicants must carefully follow the online instructions and upload the required documents.
- Required documents include the applicant's signature, MRP-size photograph, transcript, mark sheet, equivalency certificate, and other necessary documents.
- Documents that are unclear or difficult to read will not be accepted.
- After submitting the online application form, applicants must print the acknowledgement page immediately.
