Tribhuvan University Announces Re-Entrance Examination for B.Tech. Food Technology

Tribhuvan University’s Institute of Science and Technology (IoST), Office of the Dean, has announced a re-entrance examination for students seeking admission to the B.Tech. Food Technology program.

The examination is being conducted because seats remain vacant in some affiliated and constituent colleges. Interested students can apply through the online application system within the specified deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

• Passed +2 Science/Proficiency Certificate level with Food/Laboratory Technology or I.Sc.
• Passed the required subjects in the +2 Science examination, including Chemistry and Mathematics, with the minimum marks specified by the university.
• Passed a three-year CTEVT Diploma with the required marks in English, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Passed A-Level with English, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing at least a D grade in each subject.
• Students with qualifications from foreign educational institutions must submit the required equivalence certificate.

Application and Examination Details

Applications must be submitted online only. Applicants are required to upload academic certificates, mark sheets, equivalence certificates where applicable, and an MRP-standard photograph.

Time: 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Examination Center: Padmakanya Multiple Campus, Bagbazar, Kathmandu

The entrance examination fee is NPR 3,300. Applicants can deposit the fee through the designated Global IME Bank account or use the online payment option available through the application portal.

After submitting the application, applicants should print and keep the acknowledgement page for future reference. The entrance examination admit card can be downloaded from the official website.
